In Reclaiming Wholeness, through the nondual approach, we are being with life’s natural self-unfoldment and self-revealing. Ever-present, effortless, and deeply intelligent. Rather than working from assumptions of deficiency – attempting to improve the self based on ideas that something is wrong or missing – we are being as the knowing that however experience is showing up, it is already whole and complete as an expression of life’s fullness. This knowing of wholeness and completion might begin on faith, but naturally unfolds into the self-evident truth of embodied being – beyond doubt, beyond mind.
We suffer when we are seeing through the misperception and misinterpretation that life’s miraculous expression of multiplicity and diversity implies separateness. Our individual seeking styles are our specific lens through which we experience this separateness and seek safety and fulfilment as social beings. With a shift in perspective, we can experience our individual styles of seeking as our teacher. As life’s highly potent medium, our seeking styles can be that through which we can explore, and reveal, the true undivided nature of reality and the self. Not as a conceptual understanding, fleeting state, or insight, but as a sustained lived experience.
Through recognising our seeking styles, and firstly re-cognising (re-filtering) our understanding – through the knowing of wholeness rather than the assumption of separation, deficiency, and ‘wrongness’ – we gradually release into, and flow with, our experience as a natural self-unfoldment.
Right understanding supports the mind to gradually loosen its grasp, and ceases resisting life’s flow. Right understanding in this case is that the activity of seeking is not ‘wrong’ but is rather an invitation to see the intelligence in the search. If we are looking for something, we must first know that it is here, that it is in existence. Why else would we be looking? Where else would this seeking come from? So the mind’s seeking isn’t wrong, it’s arising out of insight – simply, and innocently, misguided.
From here – from right understanding – the experience of mind can relinquish its defensiveness and playfully release into its open and curious mode. In this sense, recognising our seeking styles works like a switch into our natural surrendered state, providing optimal conditions for transmutation and an ever deepening self revealing. Insight activates the natural energetic unfoldment of our seeking styles back to their source – revealing their true nature as the underlying core need which has been innocently sought after ‘out there’. We no longer need what we seek because we have revealed that we are what we seek in its limitlessness. This natural energetic unfoldment from seeking to being is transmutation, and is facilitated through the frame of Reparenting as Presence.
Consider the seed of a rose, or an oak tree. The seed is already whole and complete, released by the rose or oak tree as an expression of life’s wholeness in its continuous unfoldment. Everything is already here in the seed for its natural revealing – but it needs the right conditions to thrive. Our experience of our seeking styles is the same. They are always coming from the core need (quality of presence) which never leaves. Presence never leaves. The core need is unceasingly and infinitely available and our seeking style, when approached through feeling life in its immediacy, is its master seed.
However, within the conditions of misinterpretation (the soil of the fragmented psyche) there is a distortion in how core needs (qualities of presence) are experienced and expressed. There may also be a dormancy in their expression whilst they wait for the right conditions to unfold their ‘already wholeness and completeness’. In reality, right conditions are always present as the nature of experience and its wholeness. However, the misinterpretation of the nature of experience creates a sense of wrong conditions. This arises through the complexity of human relationship. So everything is already here, but there is a need for the right conditions, for the right relationship. Through the embodiment of right understanding – and the noticing of the presence of awareness – we have, already here, a perfect relationship of inseparability in dynamic flow.
The Radiant Parent as Presence is unconditional, ever-present, ever illumined, eternally available.
Reparenting as Presence is the process of meeting our deepest fears and unmet needs—not with external validation, but with the unconditional presence of our true nature. Each seeking style arises from an unconscious attempt to compensate for a core fear, driving us toward external sources of acceptance, approval, significance, intelligence, sympathy, or strength. But what we truly seek is not out there—it is the natural fullness of being, already present in what we truly are.
Reparenting as Presence is not about fixing, controlling, or reshaping the self; it is about bringing awareness to where we have outsourced our wholeness and gently and compassionately returning it home. Instead of reinforcing our fears through seeking, we recognise the longing as a call to turn inward. Presence itself becomes the loving parent that meets the need directly, dissolving the illusion of lack. Through Recognising our seeking patterns, Reparenting ourselves by Resourcing as presence, and Revealing our true nature through embodiment, we naturally shift from fear-based seeking to the direct experience of belonging, worth, love, wisdom, authenticity, and sovereignty—qualities that have never been absent, only overlooked.
Transmutation is not about acquiring something new or changing ourselves according to our preconditioned ideals of a better future self. Instead, it is the revelation of what is already present and unceasingly available. Transmutation is the natural dynamism of wholeness that is always taking place – now.
Reparenting as Presence is a way of meeting our unmet core needs directly in presence, rather than seeking them externally. Instead of chasing fulfillment through conditioned patterns of seeking, we recognise that awareness itself provides the healing, nourishment, and integration we long for.
This process unfolds in three key steps:
1. Recognise Seeking Styles (Awareness & Inquiry)
Before healing can take place, we must recognise how we are seeking externally and the fear that drives this seeking. Each style is an attempt to compensate for an underlying fear, and until we become aware of these patterns, they unconsciously dictate our behaviors and emotions.
Inquiry Questions:
Recognising the seeking style creates space for change, shifting from blind reactivity to conscious awareness.
2. Reparent (Resource) as Presence (Healing & Resourcing the Core Need)
Once we recognise our pattern, we shift from seeking to sourcing—not through external means, but through the direct experience of presence itself.
Just as a loving caregiver meets the emotional needs of a child, presence itself nourishes and fulfills what has always been sought. Each seeking pattern is resourced through presence, which provides:
Reparenting Practices:
Presence does not add anything new—it simply reveals what has always been here beyond the layers of conditioned fear and desire.
3. Reveal (Integrate & Embody) (Living from Wholeness)
Integration happens when the fear that drove seeking dissolves and the core need is no longer sought externally—because it is embodied directly.
Embodying Wholeness in Daily Life
The more we rest in presence, the more our true nature is revealed—a natural state where seeking no longer arises because nothing is missing.
By recognising the seeking style, resourcing the unmet need as presence, and revealing the natural qualities of being, seeking ceases naturally.
This is not self-improvement—it is self-remembrance.
This is not about fixing ourselves—it is about realising we were never broken.
All healing is the release from fear, and presence is the space in which all fear dissolves.
