We have just completed the second Reclaiming Wholeness Nondual Therapy Foundational Training course – and what a beautiful experience it has been. Nic and I have absolutely loved meeting and exploring together with those that are riding the keen wave of curiosity and compassion. As we have familiarised and practiced with the tools, and remembered the attunements of compassion, the nature of this alive presence when engaged as the healing field has shone sweetly and brightly. My goodness, there is so much that I could share about the experience, but for now what is alive is the movement of Responsive Radiance that has vibed here more deeply since we closed the zoom room of the April 2026 cohort. What a stunning unfolding it has been.
I had mentioned to Nic some time ago, as we were exploring experience together, that many of the practices and ‘attitudes’ (for want of a better word), that I previously experienced myself around attempts to ‘heal’ or ‘awaken’ (and that I was noticing or becoming sensitive to more and more in my explorations with others) – were now felt as a kind of violence. Dissolving sensations and emotions, shifting experience, trying to make this that is here other than it is – I began to feel this as a physical burn and pain in the body. What emerges is a simultaneous arising of gentle pouring tears, and a kind of fiercely protective anger.
You see, as soon as we try to move something along, change it, make it other than what it is – we kill it. We kill the aliveness, the spirit of the non-thingness in dynamic and ecstatic flux. How? By turning it into a something that is in some way a-part, or separate, from the field of experiencing. From life. Which is, from one layer, the why it is appearing in the way that it is (as suffering, that is) in the first place. We attempt to defy life’s radically inclusive love of itself, and in this immediacy, it hurts. I used to think that the way my body responded was a trigger or a wound. Now? It is very clear to me that it is the authentic expression of life’s love of itself. It’s a no that gives way to a yes that is so beautiful, so gentle, so light, sensitive, slow, detailed, and true.
This is what I refer to as Responsive Radiance.
Responsive Radiance doesn’t offer answers or solutions to problems. It’s not a sorter – and it knows nothing of time – which seems to make it particularly potent in the presence of frustration in the human experiencing. It is a direct responder. It sees emergence in emergency. It meets experience, holds itself in its own transmission – pointing like a laser right where it needs its own seeing – then sparkles its way to revealing the centrelessness freedom beyond shape and form. It takes ‘the body’ with it and leaves its beautiful aliveness for the shimmering bow. This is, what we name in the Reclaiming Wholeness Training as ‘insourcing’, at its finest.
In attuning more deeply to the movement of responsive radiance, it dances as the healing field amidst the most painful and challenging expressions of life like a really slow, glistening, viscous waltz. A fellow explorer in my one to one session last week gently noted – “this is such a soothing way to be with experience”. Indeed. This is.
And it needs repetition.
Again. Again. Again.
Life is constantly taking an energetic bow to even the most cutting flashes of what is being named, and maimed, as ‘reactivities’ such as ‘anger’, ‘pain’, and ‘irritation’. It titrates out of and into itself at zero distance. It pinpoints the tiny details of raw texture, feeling into itself as its own silent glistening. Where once there was a problem, there is the same experiencing presenting as the illumined inside its own transmission to itself. It is celebrating, never deviating, from its own seeing of itself.
In reverence unto itself –
this too,
this too,
is the radiance.
